I’m Mark Byron and welcome to my new Today.com blog. My “day job” has me teaching business classes at Sullivan University in Lexington, KY, mostly finance and economics, including international finance. I picked up an international economics minor on my PhD in Finance and have been intrigued by the world around me since I was a kid. I also have a BS in Political Science, so I can tackle things from both a political and an financial/economic level.

Blogging has expanded that exposure, allowing me to make friends around the world, or at least the “Anglosphere” of English-speaking countries; throw in a diverse MBA student body at Sullivan and a sister-in-law in Zambia, and I’m picking up an interesting flow of world information.

I’ve been blogging on an all-purpose basis for over seven years. Hopefully, this more-focused blog will give those of you in my new Peanut Gallery some worthwhile thoughts and insights.
